Balancing our Inner Battle

“Raise your daughters to shout, to scream, to hold their heads up high for being themselves before society tries to teach them how to silence themselves, how to wear shame like it’s a second skin. Let them taste rebellion from the moment they are born and watch them become the flames to start a revolution.”

– Nikita Gill

This quote ignites a passion within me; to help influence young women to stand in their individuality, to stand in their strength. So often we see women degraded in a number of situations. Whether it be the big picture of fighting for basic human rights, being sexually harassed and assaulted, to being told you can’t be apart of something based on the gender restraints and even to the clothes we wear.

In a world full of what seems like endless masculine anarchy we can learn to intertwine our feminine nature in the seams of separation, instilling a sense of wholeness. When we learn to balance masculine and feminine nature we learn to balance the warrior with the wise.

There is no separation between the two labels, the only separation comes from our views of the other sex. Well how can we understand our views a little better? By asking yourself questions…

What positive forms of masculine power do you see within man? What positive forms of feminine power do you see within woman?

How do we visualize the collective energy of the masculine? Feminine? If it’s negative, how can we turn that into something positive?

How much do we trust the masculine to take care of the feminine? Vice versa?

When we learn to understand our views on certain positions we are able to identify the root of our frustrations or in other words separations. When we come to the cause of the problem we allow healing of a trauma or past event to pursuit. When we heal this part of ourselves or preconceived notions of a situation the illusion of seperation begins to dissolve, since we were able to remove our negative perceptions.

I think it is truly important to come to terms with the feminine and masculine within each of us. Our raw power as humans lies in recognizing our strengths and our room to grow. The strength lays in connection to the self with balance and care. Removing personal pain from any situation and channel healing through sacred wisdom.

How can we improve the warrior potential of the masculine side while enhancing the compassionate wisdom of the feminine?
